Educational Opportunities

HelicopterHealthNet Aeromedical Services will be glad to teach classes for your squad or facility. Not only do we have certified ACLS and PHTLS instructors, we also offer several classes for individual topics.

HealthNet Aeromedical Flight Team members will instruct the classes and file for continuing education hours (CEUs).

Brief Course Outlines

HealthNet 1:

  • Pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
  • Pediatric Status Epilepticus
  • Pediatric Meningitis

Definitions/Pathophysiology, statistics, signs/symptoms and patient care will be discussed in the cases above.

HealthNet 2:

  • Geriatric Emergencies

Assessment differences in geriatric population, physiologic changes and common medication and its effects.

HealthNet 3:

  • Burns
  • Understanding priorities of management
  • Recall anatomy and physiology of thermal regulation
  • Perform initial focused assessment
  • Management of specific burns
